so... i read 35 books this month. yeah. i can easily say that it was a mixture of excitement (for wikathon and other good reads) and an outlet for my stress and anxiety (moving, starting grad school, etc.). here we go trying to unpack... all of that. i know i said i was excited for wikathon, but i had no idea i was that excited. by the numbers, i finished ten books in the first week of wikathon (you can see me blasting through books in my reading vlog here), and went on to average about eight books a week for the rest of august. i actually ran out of books to read for my wikathon TBR (due to not being able to get copies of more filipino books). there was legitimately a point in time when people were concerned for me, including my boss telling me to stop reading for a day. what can i say? i just read a lot of good books this month. i'm going to stop talking now so we can get to the wrap-up. here are some numbers for funsies before i get into some brief reviews:

okay, high five to two weeks ago me for doing a mid-month wrap-up, because this wrap-up would've been absolutely insane if i had decided to put it all in one post. as always, thank you guys for reading to this point, and thank you for all your comments on my posts thus far — it truly means a lot to me to get to talk to people about books!! feel free to reach out to me on twitter or instagram if you'd like to chat more. i hope you all have a lovely week!
